Baked Apples

Here in France granny smith is a good choice of apple but bramley apples are better if you can get them.

Ingredients:
4 granny smith apples
100 g brown sugar
50 g butter
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon.
25 g raisins

Preheat oven to 175 degrees c.

Take the core out of each apple a cut a line around the middle of each apple just deep enough to cut through the skin.
Place in an oven proof dish.
Mix together the butter, sugar, cinnamon and raisins and stuff into the cavity of each apple.
Bake for about 30 minutes, until the sugar begins to caramelise and the apples are tender.
