50g powdered almonds
25g butter
100g sugar
1 egg – beaten
140g plain white flour
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
finely grated rind from 1/2 lemon
Preheat oven to 180C
Line a baking sheet with baking parchment
Melt the butter and mix with the sugar
Mix in the egg
Mix in the remaining ingredients
Form the sticky dough into a long oval and bake for 20 minutes
Cut into slices then remake for 40 minutes at 100C
