Put into a small saucepan with the water. Bring to the boil then lower the heat and simmer gently for 10 -15 mins. In a small bowl mix cornflour to a paste with 1 tablespoon of milk. Gradually add this to the onion mixture, stirring constantly. Add more milk until the sauce is the correct consistency.
